The Salym Group of fields is located in Russia's richest oil province, the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Area of Western Siberia (click here for map) and are operated by Salym Petroleum Development (SPD), Sibir's 50:50 joint venture between its 100% owned subsidiary, OAO Evikhon (Evikhon) and Shell Salym Development B.V, a member of the Royal Dutch Shell Group.

Sibir subsidiary, Magma, operates the Yuzhnoye and Orekhovskoye fields in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Area of Western Siberia (click here for map). Soon it will begin exploration activities on the Koltogorsky Blocks near the Magma operations base in Nizhnyvartovsk.

Sibir’s downstream operations consist of refining and marketing through its joint venture with the City of Moscow, the Moscow Oil and Gas Company (MOGC) and an interest in a joint venture with BP for retail service stations.
